The company’s Board of Directors includes the following members:

 

Mr Malemolla David Makhura - Chairman
MSc in Public Policy and Management (University of London)

Mr Makhura is the Chairman of both Bantu Investment Holdings and Mega Circle (Pty) Ltd.  He is the Provincial Secretary of the ANC in Gauteng Province and a member of the ANC National Executive Committee since 2000. He has been a member of the SACP since 1987.

 

  Mr Claude Ibalanky - Chief Executive Officer
M Com, B Com (Honours), B Tech

Mr Ibalanky is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Bantu Investment Holdings.  He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Invest in Congo, a private sector initiative established to promote trade and investments in the DRC.  He is the former Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at Hewlett-Packard (HP).  He was Country Manager (French Africa and Indian Ocean Islands) at Sun Microsystems. 

Mr Ibalanky is a recipient of many awards, the latest one being the International Applause Award, given in recognition for the difference he is making and his contribution to Africa’s development. The award was presented by Chicago-based Human Resources Development Institute and Foundation, in the USA in June 2007.

 

 

Mr Makgane Neal Thobejane - Executive Director
Masters Degree in Public Management, Diploma in Executive Management Programme

Mr Thobejane is currently a director of EDI Holdings (Pty) Ltd and also acts as Strategic Advisor in the office of the Chief Executive Officer.  He is also the Executive Chairman of the Nehawu Investment Holdings (NIH).  Before EDI Holdings, he was seconded by the City of Johannesburg to the City of Cape Town as Head of the Validation and Review Committee.

 

 

Mr Sello Mkhondo - Executive Director
MBA, B.Compt, H.Dip Tax Law

Mr Mkhondo is the CEO of Nehawu Investment Holdings.  Previously, Sello was the Head of BEE at Nedbank where he spearheaded Nedbank’s BEE strategy.  He worked at WipCapital in the Corporate Finance division looking after the public sector initiatives arising out of Government’s restructuring and privatisation programme.  He was involved in the Telkom IPO and SAA bidding processes in Africa.  He worked at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance, advising clients in the telecoms and media sectors.  While working at Telkom, he participated in setting up the International Business Development unit and then the Mergers & Acquisition division within Telkom.

 

 

Ms Mashadi Kgatla - Executive Director
BCompt Honours and CTA (UNISA)

Ms Kgatla has worked for the Department of Transport.  She served her articles with The Office of the Auditor General. She then joined SASOL as a Senior Accountant. She is currently the Financial Director for Nehawu Investment Holdings.
